About the position
The incumbent will be an essential member of our digital delivery team. They will be responsible for a wide range of activities related to the design, implementation, and support of systems used by the Lockheed Martin Canada Inc. (Lockheed Martin) user community. They will play a key role in establishing cloud services for the international Lockheed Martin community, migrating existing systems to the cloud and supporting the creation of new cloud services.
The candidate will have sufficient skills in infrastructure, security, software development, database management systems, and systems integration. They will have experience using DevOPs best practices with the agile process and common technology stacks. The ideal candidate will be an individual contributor capable of working with multiple stakeholder groups to support Lockheed Martin's international information technology services and the organization as a whole. They will use their technical skills to contribute to the achievement of milestones associated with specific projects.
Key responsibilities:
- Resolve production issues and coordinate with the development team to simplify code deployment
- Development and operation of Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud services including tenants, subscription, vNET, virtual machines/EC2, storage accounts, KeyVaults, role-based access control, policies, and basic Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) use cases. This also includes landing zone deployments and configurations and Active Directory
- Experience writing scripts and tools with Python, Bicep, PowerShell, ARM templates, Bash, Terraform, JavaScript, JSON, or YAML
- Familiarity with industry cloud systems, processes, and tools, including GitHub/GitLab and Visual Studio Code
- Advance fundamental processes to improve process efficiency and cost-effectiveness across cloud platforms and service offerings
- Implement automation tools and frameworks (continuous integration/continuous delivery)
- Perform security, operational, and availability testing of systems
- Develop and maintain design and troubleshooting documentation
- Analyze code and provide detailed reviews to development teams to ensure marked improvement in applications and on-time project completion
- Translate functional requirements and desired capabilities into value-added technical solutions supported by short- and long-term technical roadmaps that align with Lockheed Martin's strategy and initiatives

- Advance the integration of cloud service offerings with line-of-business components while operating within agile teams to design, implement, and support solutions that meet business objectives
- Liaise with line-of-business clients to provide support for Lockheed Martin's cloud capability
- Focus on meeting deadlines by working with product owners and technical management
- Create and support infrastructure as code artifacts
- Create and maintain supporting documentation.
Required skills, abilities, and experience
- Experience in designing, developing, and integrating systems with IT infrastructure technologies (networking, telecommunications, computing, storage, virtualization, including containers)
- Hands-on experience with AWS services such as Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), Containers, Simple Storage Service (S3), Elastic Load Balancing (ELB), Relational Database Service (RDS), Route53, Cloud Formation, Cloud Watch, Identity and Access Management (IAM), Code Commit, Lambda, Cloud Trail, Application Programming Interface (API) Gateways, etc.
- Experience managing cloud networks (Aviatrix)
- Experience configuring infrastructure using Ansible
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code principles
- Experience with virtual infrastructure (VMware)
- Experience coding with C#/Python/Perl/PowerShell
- Experience with declarative coding languages such as: Terraform or CloudFormation Template (CFT)
- Knowledge of agile development processes, from build to deployment
- Experience with code management, e.g., Git and GitLab
- Ability to understand interdependent software systems and resolve related issues
- Ability to document systems and abstract concepts and communicate them to a broad and diverse audience (not just IT)
- Awareness of IT and cyber security
- Ability to work in a dynamic, ambiguous, and fast-paced environment
- Strong customer approach, business acumen, and results-oriented
- Autonomy demonstrated through related professional experience
- Strong collaboration and teamwork skills
- Be able to obtain NATO Secret security clearance and meet the requirements of Canada's Controlled Goods Program.
Additional skills desired for the position
- Experience working in an international environment where personnel work across various time zones, in different languages, and diverse cultural backgrounds
- Any relevant certifications associated with the required skills
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience/combination of studies with five (5) years of professional experience.
Language requirements in Quebec
Knowledge of English is required for this position so that the candidate can perform all their duties. The position described in this job offer requires the candidate to communicate daily with a virtual team outside of Quebec. The candidate will also need to communicate with various members of the organization, clients, and suppliers located outside of Canada. For engineering positions, the candidate will also need to be able to read or modify technical documents from our main clients and write technical documents for these same clients.

Salary Transparency

$99,500 - $130,500
