Airbus Canada is looking for an In-Service Support Engineer (f/m) on Flight Controls systems (ATA27) and Hydraulics systems (ATA29) to join our Customer Services team (ABSIY siglum) based in Mirabel (Québec, Canada), where you will work on the A32X, A330/A340, A350, A300/A310 programs jointly with the In-Service Engineering department based in Toulouse (1SY siglum).
You will be part of a regional team created in 2024 to increase the in-service engineering footprint in North & Latin Americas.
Your role will be to:
- Provide engineering assistance to the customers by answering on-time and on-quality the technical queries raised by the customers to troubleshoot and correctly operate their aircraft, to provide maintenance recommendations (reliability improvement, cost optimization), to better understand our aircraft design, etc.
- Analyse in-service events to identify potential impacts (including airworthiness, quality, etc.).
- Identify and investigate the emerging hot topics affecting the fleet and specific customers of the Americas region, and define with fleet managers and central teams the associated corrective actions (mitigation & terminating solutions).
- Manage customer communication at various hierarchic levels and in different contexts: over the phone, in person, during troubleshooting on aircraft, or during airline events (fleet review meetings, workshops, expert forums, regional conferences).
- Provide customers with urgent in-situ technical assistance for aircraft troubleshooting.
- Create synergies between A3xx and A220 programs by connecting with A220 teams in Mirabel, identifying common technical topics and initiating X-programs approach.
Your technical scope will cover Flight Controls (ATA27) & Hydraulics (ATA29) on the Airbus programs A32X (mainly), A330/A340, A350, A300/A310 (aircraft operated in North and Latin Americas region).
Your main challenge will be to become the voice of the customers inside and the voice of Airbus outside!

- Create a strong collaboration with:
- The In-Service Engineering teams based in France
- The Programme teams based in the United States
- The Airbus Field Representatives based in each airline
for all the activities described above, and despite the time differences.
Your boarding pass:
- Engineering degree either specialized in aeronautics, or with significant experience in airline business and operations. Minimum 8 years of experience required.
- Advanced knowledge on Flight Controls and Hydraulics systems (ATA27/29)
- Highly concerned by Customer care and service minded.
- Being familiarised with Airbus technical documentation is a plus.
- Team player, autonomous and able to quickly adapt to constantly changing priorities.
- Proactive approach.
- Good coordination and relational skills to deal with Customers, Fleet Management, Central In-Service Engineering (based in Toulouse), Design Offices, Vendors and other Airbus departments.
- Good presentation skills
- Fluent in English, both oral and written.
- Willing to work in a multicultural and international context, and covering a large spectrum of activities associated with technical, commercial, logistic, customer relations, creating the perfect environment for accelerated development.
This role involves some worldwide travels for business, especially in North and Latin America (approximately 6-7 business trips per year), consequently you must be willing to travel accordingly.
