About the position

Lockheed Martin Canada Inc. (Lockheed Martin) is Canada's premier combat system integrator specializing in advanced, large-scale integration projects. We leverage advanced engineering practices and modern technologies to design, develop, and integrate combat systems for warships. We are looking for motivated and high-performing individuals with specific skills to join our dynamic naval programs team.

The candidate will support the in-service support program for the Halifax-class integrated combat systems and will be required to work at Canadian Forces Base Stadacona, Halifax, once granted the necessary security clearances by the Government of Canada. They will work within a multidisciplinary team and perform engineering tasks covering the entire system lifecycle: specification, design, development, integration and testing, deployment, maintenance, and field troubleshooting.

The candidate will participate in engineering activities, such as:

  • Support the verification of the international interoperability of the Halifax-class integrated combat system
  • Participate in interoperability verification events
  • Participate in post-verification data analysis and reporting
  • Provide support for any investigation or report resulting from interoperability verification events
  • Ensure that all system problem reports resulting from interoperability verification events are created
  • Participate in the development and technical review of system and software modifications to ensure interoperability requirements are met, where applicable
  • Work on system architecture and design
  • Plan system integration
  • Create design documents
  • Apply system engineering processes and best practices
  • Support the development and review of future interoperability standards.

What you bring to the position

  • Hold a bachelor's degree from a recognized university in a related discipline or equivalent co-op education
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication; demonstrated ability to translate complex technical requirements into clear, actionable documentation
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Ability to work well alone or in a team
  • Ability to obtain a NATO Secret level security clearance
  • Possess a Canadian passport or have the ability to obtain a Canadian passport and travel for two to four weeks per year
  • Experience in data analysis and root cause analysis.

Additional desired skills for the position

  • Knowledge of Redmine and Windchill
  • Experience with Combat Management System 330 (CMS 330)
  • Experience with the Agile development method
  • Experience in the naval or defense sectors
  • Experience with model-driven system design.

Salary Transparency

Salary Range

$77,500 - $101,500
