An attractive opportunity is currently available at Rolls-Royce Canada for a manufacturing engineer.

Working in a High Performance Culture environment, the main responsibilities of this role are to ensure the technical standard of civil aerospace products while optimizing the processes supporting operations, developing technical solutions by working in close collaboration with the manufacturer, and coordinating/delivering all other engineering-related activities.

Main responsibilities:

  • Optimize operating costs through technical specification control

  • Contribute to minimizing costs of poor quality by using defect and failure analysis methods and root cause problem-solving.

  • Find solutions related to specific engine problems, including making decisions on non-conforming hardware to meet customer expectations.

  • Investigate engines that do not meet expected performance without exceeding engine limitations

  • Develop engine maintenance programs through the development of technical specifications and cost optimization for product lifecycles.

Essential criteria:

  • Associate degree and over 4 years of experience in mechanical engineering OR

  • Bachelor degree and over 2 years of experience in mechanical engineering OR

  • Master degree in mechanical engineering OR

  • Must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident of Canada

Desirable criteria:

  • Eligible or member of the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec.

  • Eligible for the CAMAQ program

  • High level of autonomy
