In the Operability Group, the analysts will be in charge of various aspects of engine operability such as starting, acceleration and deceleration (handling), transient simulation, aircraft interfaces, as well as operability specifications for electronic and hydromechanics control systems.
Our responsibilities span from pre-detail design to field support.

This is a full-time position from Monday to Friday with flexible hours, based in Longueuil, and performed exclusively on-site.
What will your day-to-day look like?
- Contribute to engine sub-system definition like the controls system.
- Generate transient simulation corresponding to aircraft maneuvers.
- Establish test procedures to be performed on engine as well as supporting the tests themselves.
- Analyze the test results and compare to the simulation results and provide recommendations as applicable.
- Authors appropriate engine certification reports; Reviews and coordinates appropriate input into the engine Installation Manual, Maintenance Manual, Engineering Instructions, etc
- Ensures appropriate documentation and traceability of relevant analysis and results.
- Works with the disciplines to establish appropriate best practices and analysis procedures; actively leverages CORE tools and principles to assist in the continuous improvement of the Operability Group’ methods, tools and processes
What do you need to be successful?
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering with minimum 3-7years of experience or master’s degree in engineering with minimum 2-5 years of experience an asset.
- Good oral and written communication skills (English essential, French an asset).
- Proficiency at handling several analytical tasks concurrently and working with quickly evolving requirements and priorities.
- Demonstrated ability to operate well in teams and eventually lead teams.
- Experience in operability, compressor aerodynamics, performance, controls or development/test an asset
- Knowledge of Matlab/Simulink, MS Excel (VBA macros), EnoviaV6/PLM are assets
- Overtime and support on second shift or week-end shift required occasionally.
- This position is part of a French-speaking work environment, it requires a very good knowledge of English to read and understand, on a daily basis, documentation and technical terms that may emanate from international organizations, as well as to write and communicate in English with customers, suppliers or international colleagues.
