YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES 🎯

  • Design and review structural concepts, 3D models, assemblies, and detail drawings for assigned aircraft areas.
  • Define metallic and composite parts, interfaces, fasteners, and tolerances in accordance with applicable design requirements.
  • Optimize solutions considering manufacturability, assembly, maintainability, weight, and cost.
  • Collaborate with Loads and Stress, Materials and Processes, Systems, Aerodynamics, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to ensure cross-functional integration.
  • Identify and resolve geometric and interface issues, and participate in design reviews and trade-off studies.
  • Support certification activities, production and supplier investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective actions.
  • Manage design changes and maintain configuration data within the PLM environment.
  • Take ownership of assigned work packages, coordinate deliverables, and propose solutions to complex technical issues.
  • Review peers’ work and mentor junior team members in their technical development.

Requirements

YOUR PROFILE IS ESSENTIAL TO OUR SUCCESS 💎

  • Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a relevant discipline. A technical diploma may be considered based on relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in aircraft design or engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of aircraft structural design, including metallic and composite structures, joints, fasteners, tolerancing, and GD&T.
  • Experience with 3D definition, technical drawings, manufacturability, assembly, and inspection.
  • Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, aerospace design standards, certification, and configuration management.
  • Proficiency in CATIA V5 and ENOVIA; knowledge of NX and Teamcenter is an asset.
  • Good understanding of PLM processes, engineering change management, and product definition.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and multidisciplinary collaboration skills.
  • Ability to coordinate priorities, take technical ownership, and provide guidance to less experienced team members.
  • English proficiency required; French is an asset.
