Job overview

We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer - Engine Process Compliance to support the implementation of a new aeroderivative engine program based on the CFM56‑5B, operating within an existing certified aero MRO environment.

This role is responsible for the end‑to‑end definition, compliance, and governance of manufacturing processes, from engine induction through final engine configuration and certification, ensuring that aeroderivative activities coexist safely, compliantly, and without disruption to existing aviation MRO operations.

The Manufacturing Engineer will work closely with the Chief Engineering team developing engine modifications and will serve as the manufacturing authority for process compliance, configuration control, and regulatory alignment across the full engine scope.

Responsibilities

  • Own end‑to‑end manufacturing process compliance for the aeroderivative engine program, from engine induction through final certification.
  • Ensure controlled coexistence of aeroderivative activities within the existing certified aero MRO environment, without impacting regulatory compliance.
  • Act as the primary manufacturing interface to Chief Engineering, translating engine modifications into compliant, executable shop processes.
  • Define and maintain manufacturing configuration control, traceability, and approved data usage across the full engine scope.
  • Ensure alignment with OEM data, regulatory requirements, Repair Station Manual, and QMS.
  • Serve as the manufacturing focal point for quality, regulatory audits, and customer compliance reviews.
  • Support first‑engine execution, capture lessons learned, and stabilize processes for repeatable production.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in:
    • Turbofan engine MRO (CFM56 experience strongly preferred)
    • Regulated aerospace manufacturing environments
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Aviation regulatory frameworks
    • Engine configuration management
    • Manufacturing process governance
  • Demonstrated ability to work closely with:
    • Chief / Design Engineering
    • Quality and Compliance
    • Operations leadership
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
