Job Description

The successful candidate will contribute to our key projects as a member of the team responsible for integration and testing of vector products:

  • Support functional verification testing of combat system software
  • Support subsystem integration verification testing of combat system software
  • Support regression testing of combat system software

This role requires the candidate to perform manual and automated testing in an Agile development environment. To do so, the candidate must rely on both skills and experience, including programming, problem solving, effective communication, and analysis. You will work in a Linux environment and use several programming languages including Python, BASH, Java, and C++. Knowledge of combat management system and mission system software is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

As a member of an Agile team, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Design, execute, and maintain functional tests to verify user stories and software requirements
  • Design, execute, and maintain automated tests as part of continuous regression testing
  • Document test results in the Agile project management system and the test management system
  • Identify, assess, document, and retest defects to help improve overall quality

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree from a recognized university in computer science or a related engineering discipline
  • 2 to 4 years of professional experience
  • Willingness to work the team schedule, including evenings and weekends as required
  • Ability to solve difficult problems within a team
  • A high degree of initiative or autonomy
  • Ability to obtain a NATO Secret level security clearance

Additional Desired Skills

  • Strong knowledge of software development and testing
  • Strong knowledge of test automation
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite
  • Good knowledge of Linux
  • Good knowledge of BASH and Python
  • Good knowledge of Java and C++
  • Familiarity with Subversion or Git
  • Experience with DOORS (object-oriented requirements management system) is an asset
  • Experience with networking and networked tools is an asset
  • Experience with Agile Scrum is an asset
