JOB OVERVIEW

We are currently seeking a skilled engineering professional to join our team and support our Component Repair Cells.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to the various Repair Cells in their daily operations.
  • Introduce technical instructions into daily workflows to support operations.
  • Participate in material review board, material salvage programs and when necessary, issue approved deviations.
  • Initiate, coordinate, and establish repair standards to meet quality requirements.
  • Support repair development, perform First Article Inspection (FAI) review to industrialize OEM repairs.
  • Collaborate in the evaluation and selection of new equipment, consumables, or processes to enhance operational capabilities.
  • Update and implement process improvement and cost-reduction programs within the Component Repair Cells.
  • Participate in the creation and modification of component work scoping instructions and ERP setup.
  • Support the Quality team in investigations, corrective actions, and technical substantiation for deviations from repair processes.
  • Serve as a technical liaison with engine manufacturers and external vendors.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance in both shop floor and laboratory environments.
  • Prepare technical reports and analyze data related to piece part repair activities.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aeronautical, Materials, or Metallurgical Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
  • A minimum of four years of relevant experience in an aerospace engine shop setting, specifically addressing technical aspects of maintenance and repairs.
  • Demonstrated capability in supporting investigations and preparing technical reports with actionable recommendations.
  • Strong organizational skills, planning abilities, and a problem-solving mindset.
  • Ability to function effectively under stress and experience in a fast-paced MRO environment.
  • Knowledge of special processes such as Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), machining, thermal spraying, shot peening, welding, and cleaning systems.
  • A customer- and production-focused orientation with a results-driven approach.
  • An excellent team player possessing strong communication skills in both French and English.
  • Integrity, respect, honesty, and sound judgment are essential personal qualities.

Language Requirements in Quebec

Intermediate level knowledge of English is necessary for aeronautical personnel to meet regulatory requirements, understand technical procedures and instructions, and document entries regarding work performed on the aeronautical product for customers outside Quebec.
