About the position
Principal Systems Test Integration Engineer – Communication Systems
The successful candidate will contribute to our Rivers and Rivers Class Destroyer (DCFR) project as a member of our vector product integration, testing, and evaluation team:
- Development, review and delivery of land-based tests and trials (Land Test Site/Land Test Facility) of the Integrated Communication System (ICS)
- Development, review and delivery of on-board ship tests and trials of the ICS
- Creation of the integrated test, evaluation and acceptance plan, verification traceability matrix, test plans and test procedures
- Support the planning and execution of the first article acceptance tests of the ICS
- Act as liaison between the Lockheed Martin Canada Inc. (Lockheed Martin) integration, test and evaluation team and supplier/partner organizations to maintain program priorities
- Support problem identification and resolution to minimize risks to the test schedule
- Work closely with key stakeholders to effectively manage and coordinate ICS construction build dates and construction tests.
What you bring to the position
- Bachelor's degree or diploma from an accredited institution in an engineering discipline and two years of experience, or a master's degree in an engineering discipline.
- Experience in naval or defense communication systems
- Experience working in a multidisciplinary team
- Ability to solve difficult problems within a team
- Demonstrate a high degree of initiative or autonomy
- Be able to obtain a North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) “Secret” level security clearance.
Additional desired skills for the position
- Experience with direct communication systems
- Experience in test writing
- Experience with naval combat systems
- Experience with IBM Rational DOORS (Dynamic Object-Oriented Requirements System)
- Experience with Agile Scrum method
- Good knowledge of hardware and software development and testing
- Good knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of tools
- Good knowledge of Linux
- Knowledge of JIRA and Windchill is an asset
- Valid NATO Secret level security clearance.
Language requirements in Quebec
Knowledge of English is required for this position so that the candidate can perform all of their duties. The position described in this job offer requires the candidate to communicate daily with a virtual team outside of Quebec. The candidate will also need to communicate with various members of the organization, clients and suppliers located outside of Canada. For engineering positions, the candidate will also need to be able to read or modify technical documents from our main clients and write technical documents for these same clients.

Salary Transparency

Salary Range
$95,000 - $124,500
