About the role

The role of sustainment engineering personnel is an operational and strategic role responsible for supporting the direction and supervision of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) analysis for a multitude of programs and proposals. This position includes supporting the technical team and working closely with key stakeholders and subcontractors to ensure that the sustainment solutions provided meet the high standards and specific needs of each client. This position will technically report to the relevant Integrated Support Production team leaders, and functionally to the ILS first-level manager. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned and experienced contributor, with the skills to become a technical leader; they would be an asset to several projects and clients. Having a deep understanding of ILS and the ability to offer cost-effectiveness to programs, both in the design and construction phase, as well as during the transition to long-term sustainment and in-service support, is a key asset for the success of this role.

• Having a deep understanding of ILS and the ability to offer cost-effectiveness to programs, both in the design and construction phase, as well as during the transition to long-term sustainment and in-service support, is a key asset for the success of this role.

Additional desired skills for the position

• Knowledge of naval platforms, including the Halifax-class frigate or any equivalent platform
• Knowledge of maritime combat systems, including radars, combat management systems, communications, weapons, navigation, electronic warfare (EW)
• Good knowledge of the Object-Oriented Requirements Dynamic Management System (DOORS), JIRA, Windchill, and Confluence software, as well as the Microsoft Office suite
• Experience as an Agile Scrum Master or Product Owner
• Deep understanding of emerging technologies, standards, and software used for logistics products and services
• Knowledge of 1LMX digital transformation and related sustainment tools
• Understanding of military standards, the Global Emissions Inventory Activity, and S-series specifications for ILS
• Strong project management skills to oversee the entire life cycle of the Rivers-class Destroyer (RCD)
• Collaborative spirit to work effectively with other integrated production teams and stakeholders
• Ability to innovate to bring new ideas and improve the program
• The ability to communicate in French is considered an asset
• Ability to adapt to evolving needs and the integration of new technologies.

Salary Transparency

Salary Range

$119,000 - $156,000
