The position is based at our Longueuil (Plant 1) location; Monday to Friday, with flexible hours and exclusively on-site.

Quality Engineer to join a dynamic organization responsible for the governance of managing non-conforming hardware across all organizations within P&WC. What will your day-to-day look like?

  • Supports P&WC organizations in managing non-conforming parts/engines.

  • Responsible to monitor, support, and guide P&WC organization in the Escape Management Process execution and coordinate executive communication.

  • When required, issue a stop delivery order to contain non-conforming parts/engines.

  • Influence the Quality Culture by coordinating, supporting and ensuring non-conformities are properly addressed with robust corrective and preventive actions.

  • Identify systemic issues and influence organizations responsible to initiate initiatives to address them.

  • Coordinate safety management meetings with collaboration of the chief engineering office, program DAA, and customer engineering to assess safety impact of non-conformities on engine operation.

  • Participate in the further development and publication of actionable quality KPIs.

What do you need to be successful?

Must haves:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred (Mechanical Engineering / Industrial Engineering).

  • 5+ years of experience in a related functional engineering field.

  • Excellent written & verbal communication.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Organizational skills and ability to work under pressure with competing and varying priorities.

  • Project management skills.

  • Knowledge of the aerospace industry.

Although this position is part of a French-speaking work environment, it requires a working knowledge of English to read and understand specialized instructions, plans, drawings and technical terms that may emanate from international organizations, as well as to write and sometimes communicate in English with customers, suppliers or international colleagues.
