What our expectations are

As a member of the Customer Engineering team for the Regional program, reporting to the Regional program manager of aftermarket, you will be responsible of managing in-service product performance, the relationship with customers / airframe OEM & aligning service team to meet our specific program strategies. Part of a team of 14 experts, you will have the opportunity to lead an integrate product team (IPT) and influence the redesign of a part which could affect the safety, durability, reliability of a product or the cost of operation.

As a Customer Service Program Engineer, you will also oversee our product and service by delivering world-class product & service dependability. The Regional Aviation program is powering aircraft which help connecting people and economies around the world.

This is a full-time position from Monday to Friday with flexible hours, based in Longueuil, and performed exclusively on-site.

Function Description

As a NPI Customer Engineer in the Regional Customer Program team, you will be responsible of managing in-service product performance, relationship with customers / airframe OEM & aligning service team to meet our specific program strategies. Part of a team of experts, you will have the opportunity to influence business models and to lead an integrate product team (IPT) to define and influence the redesign of a part which could affect the safety, durability, reliability of a product and the cost of operation of a regional airline.

What your day to day will look like

  • Lead Customer Engineering activities for the Regional Aviation team
  • Act as technical liaison between Engineering and Customer Service, ensuring aftermarket requirements are integrated into the development of new engines.
  • Lead the definition and implementation of aftermarket technical requirements within Product Design Requirements Specifications (PDRS) and monitor compliance throughout the engine development lifecycle.
  • Review and approval of maintenance documentation, including Maintenance Manuals, Overhaul Manuals, and MSG-3 maintenance program development
  • Leverage field experience and lessons learned to influence design modifications and ensure long-term product supportability and customer value.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, marketing, business development and customer service subject matter experts and strategy owners to define, monitor, track, and influence new engine programs deliverables
  • Interface directly with OEMs, partner and suppliers.
  • Ownership of Product Performance - including safety, reliability, durability and all services in relation with maintenance of the product in service
  • Comply with Airframe OEM, Operators and Airworthiness authorities’ obligations
  • Align organizations with a vertical view of the market – Cross Value Stream
  • Provide business forecast & manage in-service product campaigns
  • Accountable for engine operating cost optimization
  • Develop strategies and ensure readiness of new program & customer entry into service
  • Lead customer relationship value stream
  • Commercial and warranty programs management
  • Subject matter expert for the front-line team & provide product knowledge to field communities throughout conferences and customers dedicated technical reviews
  • Support development of new business models and strategies

What you need to be successful:

  • Minimum of bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent
  • Looking for 10-15 years progressive experience in Aerospace, Aftermarket, Operations, or similar functional expertise
  • Proficient business communications in English
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and drive customer satisfaction at all levels (internal and/or external)
  • Demonstrated ability to lead in a matrixed organization
  • Demonstrated ability to manage product performance and delivery to drive customer satisfaction
  • Ability to translate technical data into action plans and strategy
  • Experience with Maintenance Program Development/MSG-3
  • AME license a plus
  • This position is part of a French-speaking work environment, it requires a very good knowledge of English to read and understand, on a daily basis, documentation and technical terms that may emanate from international organizations, as well as to write and communicate in English with customers, suppliers or international colleagues.
