Stress Engineer - Damage Tolerance

Your role as a Damage Tolerance Stress Engineer will be to analyze the damage tolerance of principal structural elements (PSE).

TASKS YOU WILL ACCOMPLISH

Conduct damage tolerance analyses on primary structural elements (PSE)

Provide recommendations on aircraft structural design and repair concepts

Develop fatigue spectra

Validate damage tolerance analyses against experimental results

Support the development of the maintenance manual in collaboration with the technical publications and maintenance engineering groups

Collaborate with suppliers to ensure compliance with program methodology and technical requirements

Review supplier reports and analyses

Prepare certification reports

YOUR PROFILE IS ESSENTIAL TO OUR SUCCESS

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering

Minimum of five (5) years of experience in stress analysis of metal aircraft structures, with a specialization in fatigue and damage tolerance design (DTD)

Proficiency in NASTRAN, PATRAN, NASGRO, CATIA V5, as well as the MS Office suite and Google Workspace

Experience in an aircraft development program or in-service support, including certification activities, is a plus

Knowledge of non-destructive testing (NDT) techniques is considered a plus

Strong sense of responsibility, integrity, and strong team spirit

Excellent communication skills

Ability to read and communicate in French and English
