Workplace: Must be mobile to work at all our bases and internationally (initial departure from St-Hubert).

WHAT WILL YOU DO?
Under the responsibility of the Director of Medical Operations, the Flight Respiratory Therapist plays a key role within a team specialized in air critical care. In close collaboration with the flight nurse and the on-call physician, you will intervene during complex interhospital transports, for both adult and pediatric clientele, across Quebec, Canada, and internationally.
In this context, you will be called upon to exercise your expertise in demanding environments, where clinical autonomy, judgment, and rigor are essential to the safety and quality of care.
More specifically, you will:
- Perform the management and stabilization of critical patients in close collaboration with the medical team and ensure comprehensive follow-up of the beneficiary with the physician;
- Continuously assess the patient's clinical status and provide required care according to procedures, program-established protocols, and best practices in intensive care;
- Apply medical prescriptions, including those transmitted remotely, in a context of critical care in an aerial environment;
- Ensure rigorous clinical follow-up and constant communication with the various parties involved;
- Accurately document the patient's evolution as well as the elements required for clinical, administrative, and statistical aspects;
- Collaborate effectively with internal teams, partner health institutions, and various emergency responders;
- Actively contribute to a safe care environment, complying with the highest standards of the industry;
- Other related job tasks.

Your most important skills are:
- Advanced clinical judgment in critical situations

- Interdisciplinary collaboration and effective communication
- Stress and priority management in emergency contexts
- Rigor, professional ethics, and constant concern for patient safety.
- Mastery of French both orally and in writing;
- Mastery of English both orally and in writing.
*English proficiency is required for technical assistance purposes with an English-speaking clientele or with any external partner such as a supplier.
Your professional background stands out with:
- Active member of the Ordre professionnel des inhalothérapeutes du Québec;
- DEC in respiratory therapy and anesthesia techniques;
- Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in critical care (emergency, intensive care, or operating room);
- Up-to-date BLS training;
- Knowledge of various common IT tools;
- No criminal record that would hinder the ability to travel to the United States and internationally;
- Hold a valid Canadian passport.
Assets:
- The following training will be considered assets: ACLS, PALS, NRP;
- Experience in medical transport or pre-hospital/critical context;
- Exposure to multicultural or international environments.
