What your daily life will look like

  • Develop, validate, and use complex computer programs for CMM coordinate measuring machines

  • Interpret inspection reports, drawings, and specifications to ensure part dimensions comply

  • Plan precision measurement instruments for dimensional inspections to optimize operations

  • Perform the mathematical calculations necessary for part inspection

  • Participate in investigations and quality improvement activities

  • Identify defects according to specifications and spot non-compliant parts

  • Prepare inspection reports

  • Perform the computer transactions necessary for part tracking

  • Maintain appropriate records related to the Quality system

What you need to succeed

  • Hold at least a DEC or AEC in mechanical engineering or another related field

  • Experience in metrology and CMM programming in a precision industrial environment

  • Problem-solving skills and analytical mindset

  • Demonstrate autonomy and expertise in programming the verification of complex parts

  • Good mastery and knowledge of reading complex blueprints and applicable geometric tolerancing

  • Knowledge of MS Outlook and Office computer tools as well as the CMM programming language

  • Interpersonal skills: teamwork and positive attitude

  • Involvement in the continuous improvement of processes and methods

  • This position takes place in a French-speaking work environment, however it requires basic knowledge of English to understand certain specialized work instructions, drawings, and technical terms that may originate from international organizations.
