What Your Daily Routine Will Look Like

• Develop, validate, and use complex computer programs for Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM)

• Interpret verification reports, drawings, and specifications to ensure part dimensions are compliant

• Plan precision measurement instruments for dimensional verifications in a way that optimizes operations

• Perform the mathematical calculations necessary for part inspection

• Participate in quality improvement investigations and activities

• Identify defects according to specifications and spot non-compliant parts

• Prepare verification reports

• Perform computer transactions necessary for part tracking

• Keep appropriate records up to date in connection with the Quality system

What You Need to Succeed

• Hold at least a DEC or AEC in mechanical engineering or another related field

• Experience in metrology and CMM programming in a precision industrial environment

• Problem-solving skills and an analytical mind

• Demonstrate autonomy and know-how to program the verification of complex parts

• Good mastery and knowledge of complex blueprint reading and applicable geometric tolerancing

• Knowledge of MS Outlook and Office computer tools as well as the CMM programming language

• Interpersonal skills: teamwork and positive attitude

• Involvement in the continuous improvement of processes and methods

• This position takes place in a French-speaking workplace, nevertheless it requires a basic knowledge of English to understand certain specialized work instructions, drawings, and technical terms that may emanate from international organizations.
