What your day-to-day will look like

  • Develop, validate and use complex computer programs for Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM)
  • Interpret verification reports, drawings and specifications to ensure part dimensions conform
  • Plan precision measurement instruments for dimensional verifications in a way that optimizes operations
  • Perform the mathematical calculations necessary for part inspection
  • Participate in quality improvement investigations and activities
  • Identify defects according to specifications and identify non-conforming parts
  • Prepare verification reports
  • Perform the computer transactions necessary for part tracking
  • Keep appropriate records up to date in connection with the Quality system

What you need to succeed

  • Hold at least a DEC or AEC in mechanical engineering or another related field
  • Experience in metrology and CMM programming in a precision industrial environment
  • Problem-solving skills and analytical mind
  • Show autonomy and know-how to program the verification of complex parts
  • Good mastery and knowledge of reading complex drawings and applicable geometric tolerancing
  • Knowledge of MS Outlook and Office computer tools as well as CMM programming language
  • Interpersonal skills: teamwork and positive attitude
  • Involvement in continuous improvement of processes and methods
  • This position is in a French-speaking work environment, however it requires a basic knowledge of English to understand certain specialized work instructions, drawings and technical terms that may emanate from international organizations.
