Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Parts Inspector will report to the COE Demand Planning Manager. Their responsibilities include:
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.
- Assess the condition of unserviceable aircraft parts and classify them according to the actions to be taken.
- Estimate the cost of repairing and overhauling quarantined parts.
- Receive goods from various sources for assessment.
- Provide certification for all required Top Aces aircraft parts (Alpha Jet and A4).
- Collaborate with the Top Aces supply chain team and suppliers to ensure supplier quality assurance.
- Support Top Aces' safety programs and quality management system.
- Undergo training to ensure qualifications are maintained.
- Assist in the training and instruction of field personnel, as needed.
- Ensure that reference data related to certification, status, and condition is maintained and accurate.
- Perform related tasks assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements:
- Must have a valid M1 or M2 license issued by Transport Canada
- At least 5 years of experience in the aviation field
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English, to effectively communicate with internal and external clients located in Canada and abroad.
- Experience with technical data in an aeronautical company.
- Experience in aircraft parts certification.
- Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
- Ability to work autonomously and successfully complete missions while adhering to given instructions, prescribed routines, and accepted standard practices.
- Ability to perform all tasks in compliance with our company values: excellence, service, integrity, and cohesion.
- Demonstration of strong and visible support for our values.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to speak, listen, and express oneself clearly on the telephone.
Special working conditions:
May be required to travel from time to time (15% to 20% per year).
Supervisory, Training, and Advisory Responsibilities:
- May be required to regularly provide advice, recommendations, and training to other employees who support the function.
- The position focuses on technical mentoring and technical advice from the Parts Assessment Manager.
- Occupational Health and Safety Responsibilities:
Employees are responsible for:
- Working in compliance with occupational health and safety laws and regulations.
- Following safe work practices and procedures and using safety devices and personal protective equipment.
- Immediately reporting hazards (such as dangerous situations and activities) to their supervisor.
Security Clearance/CGP/ITAR Requirements:
The position requires a Level II security clearance from the Canadian government and the ability to access Canada's Controlled Goods Program.
