Essential duties and responsibilities:

The Parts Inspector will report to the COE Demand Planning Manager. Their responsibilities include:

• Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.
• Evaluate the condition of unusable aircraft parts and classify them according to the required actions.
• Evaluate the cost of repair and overhaul of quarantined parts.
• Receive goods from various sources for evaluation.
• Provide certification for all aircraft parts required for Top Aces (Alpha Jet and A4).
• Collaborate with the Top Aces supply chain team and suppliers to ensure supplier quality assurance.
• Support Top Aces safety programs and quality management system.
• Undergo training to ensure maintenance of qualifications.
• Assist in training and instruction of field personnel as needed.
• Ensure that reference data relating to certification, status, and condition is maintained and accurate.
• Perform related tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:

• Must have a valid M1 or M2 license issued by Transport Canada
• At least 5 years of experience in the aviation field
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English, to communicate effectively with internal and external clients located in Canada and abroad.
• Experience with technical data in an aeronautical company.
• Experience in aircraft parts certification.
• Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel, and Outlook).
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
• Ability to work autonomously and successfully complete assignments in compliance with given instructions, prescribed routines, and accepted standard practices.
• Ability to perform all tasks in compliance with our company values: excellence, service, integrity, and cohesion.
• Demonstration of strong and visible support for our values.

Physical requirements:

• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to speak, listen, and express oneself clearly on the phone.

Special working conditions:

May be required to travel from time to time (15% to 20% per year).

Supervision, training, and consulting responsibilities:

• May be required to regularly provide guidance, recommendations, and training to other employees supporting the function.
• The position focuses on technical mentoring and technical guidance from the parts evaluation manager.
• Occupational health and safety responsibilities:

Employees are responsible for:

• Working in compliance with occupational health and safety laws and regulations.
• Following safe work practices and procedures and using safety devices and personal protective equipment.
• Immediately reporting hazards (such as dangerous situations and activities) to their supervisor.

Security clearance/CGP/ITAR requirements:

The position requires a Level II security clearance from the Canadian government and the ability to access Canada's Controlled Goods Program.
