What your daily life will look like

The successful candidate will be an ingenious person known for solving problems, leaving nothing to chance, driven by the belief that every detail matters when it comes to quality.

You will perform visual and dimensional checks of parts to identify defects and sort out parts that do not meet specifications while relying on work instructions.

As part of this work, your attention to detail and analytical mind will be essential when you need to:

  • Control, set up, and use precision measuring instruments to be used for dimensional inspections

  • Use basic functions and predefined programs on CMMs and other specialized equipment

  • Perform related tasks such as simple deburring, polishing, cleanliness tests, and pressure/flow tests

  • Use the computer systems necessary for your work (SAP, Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)

You will actively contribute to workflow fluidity, as well as the efficiency and compliance of the manufacturing environment by:

  • Ensuring that part standards and specifications are respected

  • Ordering the necessary material to ensure a continuous flow

  • Updating relevant logbooks based on multiple parameters and thereby establishing efficient operations using statistical process control

  • Performing other tasks such as cleaning, marking, protecting, and packaging parts

You will also work together with colleagues to make improvements and raise the quality level of the manufacturing center such as:

  • Collaborating with the production department to correct quality issues

  • Participating in quality improvement clinics

What you need to succeed

Requirements:

  • Diploma of Vocational Studies (DVS) in machining techniques or Diploma of College Studies (DCS) in mechanical engineering or aeronautical construction (aerospace engineering)

  • Two to five years of relevant experience in the field of metrology

  • Experience in an industrial work environment

  • Excellent ability in reading drawings

  • Determined team player with a positive attitude

  • This position takes place in a French-speaking work environment, however it requires a basic knowledge of English to understand certain specialized work instructions, drawings, and technical terms that may emanate from international organizations.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and SAP
