What will your daily life look like?
The successful candidate will be a resourceful individual known for solving problems, who leaves nothing to chance, driven by the conviction that every detail matters when it comes to quality.
You will perform visual and dimensional checks of parts to identify defects and sort parts that do not meet specifications, relying on work instructions.
In this work, your meticulousness and analytical skills will be essential when you need to:
- Control, adjust, and use precision measuring instruments for dimensional inspections
- Use basic functions and predefined programs on CMMs and other specialized equipment
- Perform related tasks such as simple deburring, polishing, cleanliness tests, and pressure/flow tests
- Use the computer systems necessary for your work (SAP, Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
You will actively contribute to the fluidity of the workflow, as well as the efficiency and compliance of the manufacturing environment to:
- Ensure that part standards and specifications are met
- Order necessary materials to ensure continuous flow
- Update relevant logbooks based on various parameters and thus establish efficient operations using statistical process control
- Perform other tasks such as cleaning, marking, protecting, and packaging parts
You will also need to work with colleagues to make improvements and raise the quality level of the manufacturing center such as:
- Collaborate with the production department to correct quality problems
- Participate in quality improvement clinics
What you need to succeed
Requirements:
- Vocational Studies Diploma (DEP) in machining techniques or College Studies Diploma (DEC) in mechanical engineering or aeronautical construction (aerospace engineering)
- Two to five years of relevant experience in metrology
- Experience in an industrial work environment
- Excellent ability to read drawings
- Determined team player with a positive attitude
- This position is in a French-speaking work environment; however, it requires a basic knowledge of English to understand certain specialized work instructions, drawings, and technical terms that may originate from international organizations.
