Safran Landing Systems Canada is a subsidiary of Safran Landing Systems, a global leader in landing and braking systems for aircraft. The Mirabel plant is dedicated to the manufacturing of major landing gear components for Airbus A320, A330, and A350 models, as well as the Boeing 787. It features state-of-the-art equipment for machining, polishing, and special processes, including heat treatment, shot peening, and surface treatments.

The missions are as follows:

• Perform visual, dimensional, and specific inspections of our parts, for which polishing operations are outsourced, and verify documentation.
• Perform visual, dimensional, and specific inspections of our parts, for which process operations are outsourced (HVOF, Nickel, Chrome, etc.), and verify documentation.
• Perform visual, dimensional, and specific inspections of our parts according to established operating ranges and verify documentation.
• When applicable, perform touch-ups on parts.
• Perform other tasks related to handling and receiving/shipping.
• Create non-conformance reports in the QIS system as needed.
• Communicate with Supplier Quality, Methods, Procurement, and Planning teams as needed.
• Record transactions in SAP.
• Ensure part inspection sampling.
• Perform other tasks related to receiving/shipping.

Day shift, Monday to Friday from 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM
Note: Depending on collective agreement rules, the shift may change (evening, night, or weekend)

• The remuneration for this position starts between $27.85 and $37.87 per hour, depending on your skills, experience, and qualifications. With internal training and progression in acquiring skills related to the position, the hourly wage will increase up to a maximum of $42.04.

Education and experience:

• High School Diploma (equivalence not accepted)
• 2 years of experience in visual and dimensional inspection
• 2 years of experience in polishing or lapping

Technical skills:

• Ability to inspect polished parts (finishes, radii, etc.)
• Ability to read and interpret drawings
• Knowledge of quality assurance principles
• Ability to write Non-conformances in QIS
• Knowledge of our various parts and the manufacturing process
• Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, etc.)
