Aeronautical Program - Montreal / Mirabel (Quebec, Canada)

Do you have experience in aeronautical quality inspection and want to contribute to the manufacturing of aircraft meeting the highest quality standards? This position is for you!

We are looking for a Structural Quality Inspector to join our team based in Mirabel (Quebec, Canada). You will work in collaboration with the production, engineering, methods, and quality teams to ensure the compliance of structural assemblies throughout the manufacturing process.

Your role

As a Structural Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for verifying the compliance of parts, sub-assemblies, and structural assemblies according to applicable drawings, technical specifications, and regulatory requirements.

Your main responsibilities

  • Perform visual and dimensional inspections of aeronautical structures.
  • Verify the compliance of assemblies, drilling, riveting, fasteners, and structural installations.
  • Inspect products according to drawings, technical blueprints, specifications, and quality procedures.
  • Carry out in-process and final inspections.
  • Identify, document, and track non-conformances.
  • Participate in root cause analyses and corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with production teams to quickly resolve quality discrepancies.
  • Complete quality documentation and ensure rigorous traceability.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards, customer requirements, and internal procedures.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Your profile

  • DEP, DEC, or technical training in aeronautics, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in quality inspection in an aerospace manufacturing environment.
  • Good reading of technical drawings and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Good knowledge of aerospace structure assembly methods.
  • Knowledge of quality systems and non-conformance management.
  • Mastery of measuring instruments (vernier caliper, micrometer, dial indicator, gauges, etc.).
  • Good command of French; English is an asset.
  • Rigour, autonomy, analytical mind, and attention to detail.

Assets

  • Experience on Airbus, Bombardier, or Boeing programs.
  • Certification or experience in aerospace quality inspection.
  • Knowledge of AS9100 requirements.
  • Experience with SAP, Solumina, or an MES/ERP system.
  • Knowledge of special processes and manufacturing documentation.
