The incumbent plays a critical role in ensuring the quality of high-precision aerospace components. As a metrology and CMM programming expert, they are responsible for verifying part conformity throughout the manufacturing process, from First Article Inspection (FAI) to final validation prior to shipment.
This position requires strong technical rigor, excellent analytical skills, and a solid understanding of dimensional inspection methodologies. The ideal candidate is recognized for their attention to detail, autonomy, and ability to collaborate effectively with production teams to maintain the highest quality standards in the aerospace industry.

Responsibilities
- Program and document CMM inspections.
- Operate Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM).
- Inspect parts during production and at final inspection stages.
- Verify dimensional tolerances and recommend required adjustments.
- Prepare inspection and non-conformance reports.
- Perform dimensional, geometric, and physical inspections as required.
- Prepare First Article Inspection (FAI) reports.
- Coordinate the shipment of parts and associated documentation.
- Validate the accuracy of machine tools and measuring equipment.
- Provide metrology support to production teams.
- Analyze customer returns and contribute to corrective action initiatives.
Education
- DEP in Machining Techniques and ASP in Numerical Control Machining (required)
- DEC in Mechanical Engineering Technology or Industrial Engineering Technology (asset)
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum of 4 years of experience programming and operating CMM equipment in a similar role.
- Experience in the manufacturing and assembly of mechanical and electrical aerospace components.
- Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and use precision measuring instruments.
- Advanced knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and the AS9100 standard.
- Proficiency in CMM programming and operation.
- Knowledge of technical specifications from major aerospace customers (Bell, Bombardier, Boeing, etc.) is considered an asset.
- Highly detail-oriented, rigorous, and observant.
- Functional proficiency in both French and English.
