The incumbent plays a key role in maintaining Avior’s high quality standards. Through technical expertise and careful attention to detail, this individual ensures that manufactured components comply with technical drawings, specifications, and customer requirements before moving to the next stage of production.

Working closely with the Production, Quality, and Engineering teams, the Quality Inspector performs inspections throughout the manufacturing process, documents the results, and actively contributes to identifying and resolving non-conformities.

This position is ideal for a rigorous and methodical individual who takes pride in quality workmanship. The ideal candidate possesses strong blueprint-reading, metrology, and problem-solving skills and is looking to grow in an environment where quality and precision are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, manufacturing routings, SPRAT, MEPI, and other applicable documentation to ensure compliance with customer requirements
  • Perform the required inspections to verify the conformity of manufactured parts and products
  • Determine the appropriate inspection steps, methods, tools, and measuring instruments
  • Verify product conformity against customer specifications and requirements and report any discrepancies or non-conformities
  • Verify compliance with the various manufacturing steps and procedures according to the production schedule
  • Use appropriate measuring instruments to inspect part dimensions and characteristics
  • Verify tooling conformity using the appropriate measuring instruments
  • Document inspection results and complete all required quality reports and documentation
  • Participate in analyzing and resolving quality issues and implementing corrective actions
  • Release parts and associated documentation to the next operation once conformity has been confirmed
  • Collaborate with the Production, Quality, and Engineering teams to ensure compliance with quality requirements
  • Perform all other related duties

Education

  • DEP in aerospace or a related field

Skills and Qualifications

  • 1 to 3 years of relevant quality inspection experience, preferably in an aerospace or manufacturing environment
  • Excellent ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
  • Good knowledge of metrology and trigonometry
  • Comfortable using precision measuring instruments
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
  • Strong teamwork and cross-functional collaboration skills
