About the position
Lockheed Martin Canada Inc. (Lockheed Martin) is the leading combat system integrator (CSI) specializing in advanced large-scale integration projects in Canada. We leverage advanced engineering practices and modern technologies to design, develop, and integrate combat systems. We are looking for employees with excellent technical skills who will contribute to our success. The successful candidate will contribute to our key projects as a member of the vector products team responsible for integration, testing and evaluation:
- Support the development of an installation test plan program for Lockheed Martin's scope of supply
- Support the development of a shipboard inspection program for Lockheed Martin's scope of supply; including pre- and post-installation inspections, and review of shipbuilder connector assembly reports
- Support the development of a corrective and preventive maintenance plan for Lockheed Martin's scope of supply; from local warehousing to final ship acceptance
- Oversee the proper installation of all Lockheed Martin systems on board ships to ensure proper handover to the test and trials team at the start of commissioning
- Oversee physical alignment activities conducted by the installer (shipbuilder)
- Identify and resolve combat system integration issues so that priority defects are corrected to meet test deadlines
- Identify and resolve system problem reports so that priority defects are corrected to meet test schedules
- Review and analyze test results and report findings, if applicable, for integration and operational tests
- Support the conduct of physical configuration audits
- Respond to issues identified on ships, including performing specific tests and finding corrective actions
- Support corrective and preventive maintenance tasks for all Lockheed Martin combat systems, from shipyard receipt to final ship acceptance
- Support configuration management updates required by change management and any corrective maintenance tasks performed.

Planning
- Coordinate with all supporting participants involved in ship engineering activities, including coordination between integrated product teams
- Collaborate with the shipbuilder to ensure combat systems equipment is properly moved from storage and appropriately installed on each ship
- Coordinate the test design team in data collection and analysis for summary reports, problem isolation and resolution
- Ensure defects are recorded using the problem reporting process
- Support customer familiarization with all combat system equipment, maintenance and operations
- Work closely with other integrated product teams to effectively manage and coordinate critical dates for each system and its components.
- Provide status and metrics to the ship integration team lead, as needed
- Report in real time to management on issues impacting planned test events
- Provide current metrics for problem reports
- Attend the daily meeting to report on major issues.
- Bachelor's degree from a recognized university in computer science or a related engineering discipline and two years of experience, or master's degree in a related engineering discipline
- Willingness to work according to the team's schedule, including evenings and weekends, as needed
- Ability to solve difficult problems within a team
- Demonstrate a high degree of initiative or autonomy
- Ability to obtain a North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO)
