JR10427756 Structural and Composite Repair Design Engineer

We are supporting our client, a major player in the Canadian aerospace industry, in their search for a Structural and Composite Repair Design Engineer to contribute to the development of repair solutions that comply with airworthiness requirements and aerospace industry standards.

Role and Responsibilities

• Provide approved repair solutions within prescribed deadlines, respecting airworthiness requirements as well as maintenance cost objectives according to different geographic zones.
• Design and develop repair solutions based on existing technical and airworthiness delegations.
• Manage, analyze, and respond to technical customer inquiries regarding structural and composite repairs.
• Ensure the monitoring of key performance indicators (KPIs), notably compliance with on-time delivery (OTD) deadlines.
• Coordinate the development and standardization of repairs to contribute to the updating of technical documentation, including the Structure Repair Manual (SRM), Inspection Service Bulletins (ISB), and other reference documents.
• Analyze fleet in-service data to identify recurring issues and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
• Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, airworthiness, and customer support teams to ensure effective and compliant solutions.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for repair methods and engineering processes.
• Perform any other related tasks as required by the project.

Candidate Profile

• You hold a bachelor's or master's degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related discipline, with a specialization in structural design or composite materials.
• You possess between 3 and 6 years of experience in structural repair design, aerospace engineering, or a related field.
• You have a good knowledge of metallic and composite structures applied to the aerospace field.
• You are comfortable with technical data analysis and the development of repair solutions complying with airworthiness requirements.
• You have experience with technical documentation such as SRM, ISB, or equivalent documents (an asset).
• You demonstrate strong problem-solving, analytical, and technical communication skills.
• You are recognized for your autonomy, organizational sense, and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• You are fluent in French and English, both orally and in writing.
