Role:
This is a continuous training level. May require supervision from more experienced technicians or technical staff to perform setup, modification, or simple test bench validation tasks. May be required to test simple electronic assemblies, passive or active telecommunications equipment, and chamber monitoring on more complex equipment. Must demonstrate initiative and progress within routine tasks with well-defined limits.
Responsibility/Tasks:
- Support production during equipment breakdowns to minimize operational impact.
- Perform preventive maintenance operations.
- Assist more experienced technicians or technologists.
- Execute work in accordance with internal procedures and in compliance with our occupational health and safety rules.
- Perform other related duties.
Tasks by Assignment: Must be able to assist and perform under the supervision of engineering or a more experienced technician the tests below according to assignment:
Calibration:
- Basic knowledge of the discipline and some experience in metrology.
- Perform calibration, modifications/repairs, and precision measurements on equipment.
Maintenance:
- Basic knowledge of the discipline and some experience in the maintenance of tooling, devices with programmable logic controllers, and containing mechanical elements.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
- Education: DEC or equivalent in mechanical, electromechanical, electrotechnical, electronic engineering or a related field depending on the assignment.
- Experience: 0 to 2 years of relevant experience.
- Language proficiency level: Comfortable in spoken and written French and English. (Contact with clients outside Quebec).
