The A220 commercial aircraft program is looking for a Project Leader, A220 FALs Industrialization to join our A220 FALs Industrialization team based in Mirabel (Quebec, Canada), where you will work jointly with the final assembly lines of Mirabel (CAN) and Mobile (USA).
You will be part of the FAL Industrialization team responsible for defining the industrial strategy of the A220 FALs, deploying improvement projects identified as critical, and supporting product development activities.
Your role as Project Leader, A220 FALs Industrialization will be to manage large-scale industrial projects, contributing to the development of the industrial strategy and leading to product improvement and/or reduction of assembly cycles.
Your challenges:
Manage several industrial projects simultaneously by defining the execution strategy (content, scope, resources, deadlines, costs, risks, quality).
Plan activities, coordinate the work of the resources involved, manage budgets/expenses and act as an interface between the various stakeholders.
Contribute to the development of the industrial strategy and manufacturing plan of the two A220 FALs (Mirabel and Mobile).
Prepare and present progress statuses to management committees while seeking the right support at the necessary hierarchical level.
Identify, evaluate and implement innovations to digitalize A220 FAL activities and support continuous improvement-related initiatives.
Maintain close ties with Airbus central teams, perform benchmarks with other aerospace programs and act as an A220 representative.
Act as a change leader and be a force of proposition to place the FAL ecosystem into an industrial mode.
Engage and keep involved the resources and working teams necessary for the completion of projects.
Your profile:
Degree (or equivalent) in engineering or technique in the aeronautical field.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, including relevant experience in a final assembly line (FAL) environment.
Industrial solutions specialist demonstrating solid project management skills.
Demonstrate a high level of leadership with proven coaching/training skills, and assertiveness to influence and challenge the status quo.
Ability to work with upper management as well as with working teams, in a diplomatic and resilient manner.
Proactivity, high autonomy, organizational sense and ability to define priorities to evolve in a high-pressure environment regularly subject to changes.
Language skills: Advanced level (oral and written) in French and English to be an excellent communicator at all levels.
