Manufacturer of commercial aircraft, with Space and Defense divisions as well as Helicopters, Airbus is the largest aeronautics and Space Company in Europe and a world leader.

At Airbus Canada, our people work together to make mobility evolve around the world, one good idea after another. If you have a great idea, we have the environment for it to become a unique product or a great customer experience. Your ideas are our energy.

In your role, you will be required to:

  • Process Updates & Optimization: Review, document, and maintain all tooling department processes, procedures, and work instructions.

  • Transport Canada Support: Serve as an operational point of contact and support the department during Transport Canada compliance audits (and other applicable regulatory bodies).
  • Change Management: Identify bottlenecks and lead continuous improvement projects to optimize workflows.
  • Tool Lifecycle Management: Ensure the tracking, upkeep, maintenance, storage, and renewal of the tool and equipment fleet;

  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Work in close collaboration with production workshops, maintenance, quality, manufacturing engineering (methods), and external suppliers.

As the ideal candidate, you possess:

  • A College Diploma (DEC) in Mechanical Engineering Technology or equivalent professional experience;
  • Proven experience in a regulated manufacturing environment (aerospace, transportation, or high-tech industrial sector);
  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory and audit requirements (e.g., Transport Canada, ISO / AS9100);
  • Detailed mastery of planning, logistics, quality, and manufacturing processes applied to tooling;
  • A strong understanding of operational dependencies between various workstations and interlinked departments;
  • Strong ability to break down technical drawings and mechanical specifications;
  • Strong influential leadership with the ability to challenge the status quo and foster a culture of continuous improvement;
  • Mentoring mindset: a desire to develop colleagues and collaborate effectively across supporting functions;
  • High autonomy, analytical rigor, strong sense of responsibility, and accountability.

Due to the sector of activity (aerospace), frequent contacts with Airbus entities worldwide, and interactions with suppliers and clients also located across the globe, proficiency in English is required for this position.

This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company's success, reputation and sustainable growth.
