What your day-to-day will look like

  • Use various machining processes, analyze and improvise setups and methods, perform necessary calculations and programming.

  • Calculate and program changes for machining and to compensate for dimensional variations of tools, gauges, parts, or machine conditions, using computer software.

  • Set up, adjust, and operate equipment such as sandblasting machines, polishing machines, and waxing or de-waxing basins.

  • Perform quick maintenance work, minor epoxy work, and parts installation.

  • Interpret views and dimensions of the part.

  • Select or improvise setups and fixing methods according to the part to be machined.

What you need to succeed

Desired skills:

  • Ease in working in a team

  • Interest in mechanics

  • Manual dexterity

  • Analytical mind

  • This position takes place in a French-speaking work environment, however it requires a basic knowledge of English to understand certain specialized work instructions, drawings, and technical terms that may originate from international organizations.

Education

  • DEP in machining techniques

  • Mechanical engineering technique

  • Aerospace engineering technique

Experience

  • Ideally, the candidate will have one to two years of experience
