What your day will look like

• Use a variety of machining processes; analyze and improvise fixturing and methods; perform required calculations and programming.
• Calculate and program machining changes and compensate for dimensional variations of tools, gauges, parts or machine condition using computer software.
• Set up, adjust and operate equipment such as blasting machines, polishing machines and waxing/de-waxing tanks.
• Perform minor epoxy repairs and detail installations in the quick maintenance area.
• Interpret part views and dimensions.
• Select or improvise fixturing and fastening methods according to the part to be machined.

• Manual dexterity
• Analytical mindset
• This role is based in a French-speaking workplace; however, a basic knowledge of English is required to understand some specialized work instructions, drawings and technical terms from international organizations.

Education

• DEP in Machining Techniques
• Mechanical Engineering Technology
• Aerospace Engineering Technology

Experience

• Ideally one to two years of experience
