Responsibilities
- Responsible for computer numerical control (CNC) machining operations
- Responsible for basic programming of CNC operations
- Conventional machining. Experience in computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-aided manufacturing/machining (CAM) (SurfCAM) is a major asset
- Experience in repair and overhaul or tooling shop is a major asset
- Must follow manufacturer's instructions to repair aircraft engine components involving dimensional constraints using conventional or CNC machines
- Perform routine maintenance on machines
- Transport parts, components, or modules from one workstation or center to another, as needed
- Work on call to clean, inspect, and repair parts, as needed
- Work temporarily in another category, as needed
Requirements
- Vocational diploma (DEP), college diploma (DEC), or professional specialization certificate (ASP) in machining or equivalent
- Ability to read and understand instructions in English
- Responsibility for quality and results
- Demonstrated independence and resourcefulness
