Responsibilities

  • Responsible for computer numerical control (CNC) machining operations
  • Responsible for basic programming of CNC operations
  • Conventional machining. Experience in computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-aided manufacturing/machining (CAM) (SurfCAM) is a major asset
  • Experience in repair and overhaul or tooling shop is a major asset
  • Must follow manufacturer's instructions to repair aircraft engine components involving dimensional constraints using conventional or CNC machines
  • Perform routine maintenance on machines
  • Transport parts, components, or modules from one workstation or center to another, as needed
  • Work on call to clean, inspect, and repair parts, as needed
  • Work temporarily in another category, as needed

Requirements

  • Vocational diploma (DEP), college diploma (DEC), or professional specialization certificate (ASP) in machining or equivalent
  • Ability to read and understand instructions in English
  • Responsibility for quality and results
  • Demonstrated independence and resourcefulness
  • Strong sense of innovation
