What will your daily life look like?

The fuel injector department is looking for CNC machinists. As a CNC machinist at Pratt & Whitney, you will develop, operate, and adjust a wide range of numerically controlled machine tools – including lathes, grinders, milling machines, spark erosion machines, and laser cutting machines – to machine new parts and repair worn parts.

To do this, you will need to:

• Work from drawings, standard work instructions, drafts, and verbal instructions from the supervisor or team leader

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of parts using precision measuring instruments such as jigs and coordinate measuring machines

You will also need to support quality management, equipment maintenance, and material rotation. For this purpose, you will need to:

• Keep logs up to date

• Perform simple deburring

• Install details such as bushings and nuts

• Wash, store, pack, and move parts

You will demonstrate your commitment to excellence and help create a world-class manufacturing environment:

• Ensure that part standards and specifications are met

• Organize and keep your workstation tidy

• Comply with our high standards regarding health and safety at work

You will develop your skills and work closely with your colleagues to improve the work environment:

• Participate in practical training to improve your current skills and acquire new ones
