Job offer: CNC Machinist

About the project

The machinist is responsible for tool assembly and machine operation, while ensuring the quality of the produced parts. They ensure compliance with work procedures, perform inspections, and complete required documentation (PCD, PTS, maintenance). They participate in production monitoring, maintain a clean and safe work environment, and communicate work progress between shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the assembly of tools and fixtures according to operation manuals;
  • Operate machines;
  • Check the good condition of the part during its assembly;
  • Ensure that all work procedures are respected (program review vs PCD);
  • Ensure completion of the daily maintenance sheet;
  • Complete the in-progress PCD and once the task is finished;
  • Update the production list (work progress) found on the machine;
  • Inspect parts and complete the self-control sheet (PTS) attached to the PCD;
  • Ensure the cleanliness of the workstation, the machine, and the maintenance of tools and measuring instruments provided;
  • Transmit instructions and work progress status to the next shift;
  • Inform their manager of any anomalies or problems likely to hinder the smooth running of production;
  • Carry out their tasks in compliance with the company's vision, doctrine, and code of ethics;
  • Apply and comply with safety rules at all times;
  • Apply and comply with the rules of our policy and our quality system;

Skills and diplomas:

  • Professional Studies Diploma in Machining Techniques or equivalent
  • Professional Specialization Certificate in Numerical Control or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Machinist in the aeronautics field
  • Proficiency in French and English, both oral and written.
  • Know how to read and interpret manufacturing drawings and plans
  • Know how to use measuring instruments
  • Know how to perform simple and complex part assemblies
  • Understand programming codes (e.g., G code, M code, etc.).
