Main Responsibilities

The machinist will have the following main responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret technical plans, engineering drawings, and aerospace specifications;
  • Program, set up, and operate machine tools (CNC and conventional);
  • Machine metal parts (aluminum, titanium, stainless steel, etc.) to tight tolerances;
  • Perform necessary adjustments during production to ensure compliance;
  • Use precision measuring instruments (micrometers, vernier calipers, CMM);
  • Ensure quality control of machined parts according to aerospace standards (AS9100, ISO, etc.);
  • Participate in the continuous improvement of manufacturing processes;
  • Comply with health and safety procedures and industry quality standards;
  • Document operations and complete part traceability;
  • Any other related tasks.

Candidate Profile

  • Diploma in machining technique or equivalent training
  • Machining experience in the aerospace sector (an important asset)
  • Mastery of CNC machines (milling and/or turning)
  • Knowledge of materials used in aerospace
  • Ability to work with very tight tolerances
  • Good understanding of aerospace quality standards
  • Ability to read complex drawings
  • Analytical mindset, rigor, and attention to detail
