About the project
The machinist is responsible for tool setup and machine operation, while ensuring the quality of the parts produced. They ensure compliance with work procedures, perform inspections and complete required documentation (PCD, PTS, maintenance). They participate in production monitoring, maintain a clean and safe work environment, and communicate work progress between shifts.

Responsibilities
- Ensure tool and fixture setup according to operation manuals;
- Operate machines;
- Check the good condition of the part during its setup;
- Ensure all work procedures are followed (review of programs vs PCD);
- Ensure completion of the daily maintenance sheet;
- Complete the PCD during work and once the task is completed;
- Update the production list (work progress) found on the machine;
- Inspect parts and complete the self-inspection sheet (PTS) attached to the PCD;
- Ensure the cleanliness of the workstation, the machine and the maintenance of tools and measuring instruments provided;
- Transmit instructions and the progress status of ongoing work to the next shift;
- Inform management of any anomalies or problems likely to hinder the proper functioning of production;
- Conduct tasks in compliance with the company's vision, doctrine and code of ethics;
- Apply and comply with safety rules at all times;
- Apply and comply with the rules of our policy and quality system;
Requirements and qualifications:
- Diploma of Vocational Studies in machining techniques or equivalent
- Attestation of Vocational Specialization in numerical control or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Machinist in the aeronautics field
- Fluency in French and English both orally and in writing.
- Ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings and blueprints
- Ability to use measuring instruments
- Ability to perform simple and complex part setups
- Understand programming codes (e.g., G code, M code, etc.).
