The blades department is looking for CNC machinists. As a CNC machinist at Pratt & Whitney, you will set up, operate, and adjust a wide range of computer numerical control machine tools—including lathes, grinders, milling machines, electrical discharge machining machines, and laser cutting machines—to machine new parts and repair worn parts.

To do this, you will:

• Work from drawings, standard work instructions, rough drafts, and verbal instructions from the supervisor or team leader
• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of parts using precision measuring instruments such as gauges and coordinate measuring machines

You will also support quality management, equipment maintenance, and material flow. To this end, you will have to:

• Keep logbooks up to date
• Perform simple deburring
• Perform detail installations such as bushings and nuts
• Wash, store, pack, and move parts
