What you need to succeed

  • Holder of a DEP in machining techniques with ASP in CNC machine tool machining

  • Proficiency in French (oral and written)

  • Good understanding and reading of English

  • A good knowledge of the English language, written and oral, is required for this position given the operational needs of the Employer and the people with whom the [candidate] will interact.

Assets

  • Experience in the field of machining

  • Experience in the field of cutting tool grinding (an asset)

What will your daily life look like?

  • Manufacture, sharpen, re-sharpen, repair, and modify all types of cutting tools using CNC machines

  • Consult drawings and sketches of cutting tools.

  • Prepare tools, dress grinding wheels manually or with the help of a CNC machine, perform mounting.

  • Operate one or more machines simultaneously.

  • Inspect cutting tools using comparators and automated inspection machines.

  • Participate in the development of new processes.

  • Perform mathematical calculations, including trigonometry.

  • Wash, package, identify, and move parts while ensuring compliance with standards and specifications

  • Maintain equipment and workstation in good condition.

  • Perform equipment maintenance routines (oil levels, filter status)

  • Work in a team and be capable of great autonomy.
