What will your daily life look like?

  • Manufacture, sharpen, re-sharpen, repair, and modify all types of cutting tools using numerical control machines

  • Consult drawings and sketches of cutting tools.

  • Prepare tools, dress grinding wheels manually or with the aid of a CNC machine, perform mounting.

  • Operate one or more machines simultaneously.

  • Perform inspection of cutting tools using comparators and automated inspection machines.

  • Participate in the development of new processes.

  • Perform mathematical calculations, including trigonometry.

  • Wash, package, identify, and move parts while ensuring compliance with standards and specifications

  • Maintain equipment and workstation in good condition.

  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment (oil levels, filter status)

  • Work in a team and be capable of great autonomy.

What you need to succeed

  • Holder of a DEP in Machining Techniques with an ASP in CNC Machine Tool Machining

  • Ability to work in a team

  • Initiative and leadership

  • Manual skills

  • Analytical mind

  • This position is in a French-speaking work environment, however, it requires a basic knowledge of English to understand certain specialized work instructions, drawings, and technical terms that may come from international organizations.

  • Experience in the machining field

  • Experience in cutting tool sharpening (an asset)
