What your day-to-day will look like

• Manufacture, sharpen, resharpen, repair, and modify cutting tools of all kinds using CNC machines
• Consult cutting tool drawings and sketches
• Prepare tools, dress grinding wheels manually or using a CNC machine, and perform setups
• Operate one or more machines simultaneously
• Inspect cutting tools using comparators and automated inspection machines
• Participate in the development of new processes
• Perform mathematical calculations, including using trigonometry
• Wash, package, identify, and move parts while ensuring compliance with standards and specifications
• Maintain equipment and workstations in good condition
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment (oil levels, filter status)
• Work effectively in a team and demonstrate a high degree of autonomy

What you need to succeed

• Holder of a DEP in machining techniques with an ASP in machining on CNC machine tools
• Ability to work well in a team
• Initiative and leadership
• Manual dexterity
• Analytical skills
• This position takes place in a French-speaking work environment; however, it requires a basic knowledge of English to understand certain specialized work instructions, drawings, and technical terms from international organizations

Assets

• Experience in the machining field
• Experience in cutting tool sharpening (an asset)
