Aeronautical Machinist - Conventional Machines

The aeronautical machinist is responsible for performing various machining operations on parts intended for the aeronautical sector, using conventional machine tools. They ensure compliance with drawings, technical specifications, and quality standards applicable to the aerospace industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and manufacturing sheets to determine appropriate machining methods;
• Perform machining operations on conventional machines such as lathes, milling machines, drills, and other workshop equipment;
• Prepare, install, and adjust machines, cutting tools, and work-holding devices necessary for part manufacturing;
• Make necessary adjustments to ensure the precision and compliance of machined parts;
• Measure and inspect parts using precision measuring instruments such as verniers, micrometers, gauges, and other control tools;
• Perform necessary adjustments and corrections during production;
• Comply with dimensional tolerances, technical requirements, and quality standards of the aerospace sector;
• Identify and report any non-conformance or anomaly detected during machining or inspection;
• Perform basic machine maintenance and keep the workstation clean and safe;
• Complete production documents and ensure traceability of operations performed;
• Comply with health and safety procedures as well as internal company standards and procedures;
• Collaborate with production, quality, and methods teams to ensure smooth operations.

Profile Sought:

• DEP in machining or equivalent training;
• Relevant experience in conventional machining, ideally in the aerospace sector;
• Good ability to read and interpret technical drawings;
• Good knowledge of precision measuring instruments;
• Meticulousness, precision, and attention to detail;
• Autonomy, resourcefulness, and ability to work in a team;
• Sense of responsibility and respect for quality and safety standards.
