• This position is in a French-speaking work environment, however it requires a basic knowledge of English to understand certain specialized work instructions, drawings and technical terms that may emanate from international organizations.

Formation

• DEP in machining technique with ASP
• Mechanical engineering technique
• Aerospace engineering technique

Expérience

• Ideally, the candidate will have one to two years of experience

• Operates a set of machine tools such as conventional and CNC lathes and milling machines, wire EDM equipment or others.
• May be called upon to develop new manufacturing technologies and equipment.
• May be called upon to participate in the development of new parts or processes for the choice of methods or tools.
• Washes, preserves, packs and moves parts ensuring that standards and specifications are met.

À quoi ressemblera votre quotidien?

• Work from drawings, working method, sketches or verbal instructions, concerning the methods and equipment to be used, in order to set up, operate and adjust conventional or CNC machine tools, to machine new, used or developing engine parts. Also, can perform the correction of used or new parts.
• Realize assemblies and fixing methods, according to the tooling or the part to be machined. He makes his selection of his tooling as needed and performs the assembly and mounting of these in the machine tool.
• From computer software, calculate and program changes for machining and to compensate for dimensional variations of tools, parts or machine condition.
• Perform tests on the first part and the necessary adjustments and alignments for cutting tools, cutting parameters, etc. in order to obtain optimum performance and required dimensions.
• Perform dimensional and visual inspections on parts using precision measuring instruments such as verification gauges or CMM and keeps appropriate records.
• Investigate causes of repetitive problems and recommend preventive or corrective actions. Initiates and suggests improvements to techniques and work methods, to prevent the repetition of anomalies.
• Work in collaboration with colleagues, planning and programming departments, maintenance group stakeholders as well as those of Logistics and Quality.
• Capable of great autonomy as well as participating in training and sharing his knowledge with his teammates.
• Perform routine maintenance (oil levels, filter check) to ensure general condition and proper operation of the machine.
• Organize and keep his workstation in order and respect our high standard of occupational health and safety at all times.
• May be called upon to operate several close machines simultaneously
