Safran Landing Systems is a global leader in landing gear and braking systems for aircraft. The Mirabel plant is dedicated to manufacturing major landing gear components for Airbus models A320, A330 and A350, and the Boeing 787. The site uses state-of-the-art equipment for machining, polishing and special processes, including heat treatment, shot blasting and surface treatments.

You will manufacture landing gear components using high‑technology equipment such as lathes, milling machines and multi‑axis CNC machining centers.

Main responsibilities

  • Verify, prepare and perform part assembly.
  • Carry out machining operations according to the machining routing.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues or, when needed, provide potential solutions to methods technicians and CNC programmers.
  • Inspect parts to ensure conformance to specifications and take appropriate action if abnormalities are detected.
  • Organize your work and schedule tasks according to received priorities.
  • Consult technical documents on the computer (working drawings, operation sheets, procedures) and complete, if needed, the appropriate quality assurance documentation.
  • Ensure tooling, fixtures and equipment are in good condition.
  • Inform technicians about operation conditions (tooling, setup, documentation, CNC programs, data) and make improvement suggestions.
  • Support technicians on improvement and development projects.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of operations and to the team's objectives in safety, quality, cost and on‑time delivery.

Benefits and specifics

Night shift from Monday to Friday, 00:10 to 06:40. Note: depending on collective agreement rules, the role may change shifts (evening, night or weekend).

WE OFFER:

  • Starting pay between CAD 30.13 and CAD 43.60 per hour depending on skills, experience and qualifications; with internal training and skill progression pay can increase up to a maximum of CAD 47.32.

  • DEP (vocational diploma) in machining techniques.
  • ASP in CNC machining an asset.
