About your future assignment

Safran Landing Systems is a subsidiary of Safran, the world leader for aircraft landing and braking systems. The Mirabel plant is dedicated to manufacturing major landing gear components for Airbus A320, A330, A350 and Boeing 787 models. Equipment includes lathes, milling machines and multi-axis CNC machining centers, as well as special processes such as heat treatment, shot peening and surface treatments.

You will manufacture landing gear components using high-tech equipment. More specifically, you will be expected to:

verify, prepare and perform the assembly of the part
perform machining operations according to the machining process plan
troubleshoot technical issues or, if necessary, propose solutions to method technicians and CNC programmers
inspect parts to ensure they meet specifications and take necessary actions if abnormal situations are detected
organize your work and schedule tasks based on instructions for priority parts
consult technical documents on the computer (working drawings, operation sheets, procedures) and, if needed, complete the appropriate quality assurance documentation
ensure tooling, jigs and equipment are in good condition
inform technicians of operational conditions (tooling, assembly, documentation, CNC programs, data) and suggest improvements
assist technicians with improvement and development projects
contribute to continuous improvement of operations and to team objectives in safety, quality, cost and on-time delivery

Evening shift from Monday to Thursday, 14:20 to 00:20. Note: depending on collective agreement rules, the position may change shifts (evening, night or weekend).

Starting pay for this role ranges from $30.13 to $43.60 per hour depending on skills, experience and qualifications; with internal training and skill progression, hourly pay can increase up to $47.32
$1.30/hr premium
