What will your day-to-day look like?

• Manufacture, sharpen, re-sharpen, repair and modify all kinds of cutting tools using CNC machines
• Consult cutting tool drawings and sketches
• Prepare tools, dress grinding wheels manually or using a CNC machine, perform setup
• Operate one or more machines simultaneously
• Inspect cutting tools using comparators and automated inspection machines
• Participate in the development of new processes
• Perform mathematical calculations, including trigonometry
• Wash, package, identify and move parts while ensuring standards and specifications are met
• Maintain equipment and workstation in good condition
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment (oil levels, filter status)
• Work in a team and demonstrate great autonomy

What you need to succeed

• Holder of a DEP in Machining Techniques with an ASP in Machining on Computer Numerical Control Machine Tools
• Ease at working in a team
• Initiative and leadership
• Manual dexterity
• Analytical mind
• This position is in a French-speaking work environment, however it requires a basic knowledge of English to understand certain specialized work instructions, drawings and technical terms that may originate from international organizations

Assets

• Experience in the machining field
• Experience in cutting tool sharpening (an asset)
