What your daily life will look like?

  • Manufacture, sharpen, resharpen, repair, and modify cutting tools of all kinds using CNC machines
  • Consult drawings and sketches of cutting tools
  • Prepare tools, dress grinding wheels manually or using a CNC machine, and perform setup
  • Operate one or more machines simultaneously
  • Inspect cutting tools using comparators and automated inspection machines
  • Participate in the development of new processes
  • Perform mathematical calculations, including using trigonometry
  • Wash, pack, identify, and move parts while ensuring compliance with standards and specifications
  • Maintain equipment and your workstation in good condition
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment (oil levels, filter conditions)
  • Work in a team and be capable of a high degree of autonomy

What you need to succeed

  • Holder of a DEP in machining techniques with ASP in machining on CNC machine tools
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Initiative and leadership
  • Manual dexterity
  • Analytical skills
  • This position takes place in a French-speaking work environment, but requires basic knowledge of English to understand certain specialized work instructions, drawings, and technical terms that may emanate from international organizations

Assets

  • Experience in the field of machining
  • Experience in cutting tool sharpening (an asset)
