What your daily life will look like

• Manufacture, sharpen, resharpen, repair, and modify cutting tools of all kinds using CNC machine tools.

• Consult drawings and sketches of cutting tools.

• Prepare tools, dress grinding wheels manually or using a CNC machine, and perform setup.

• Operate one or more machines simultaneously.

• Inspect cutting tools using comparators and automated inspection machines.

• Participate in the development of new processes.

• Perform mathematical calculations, including using trigonometry.

• Wash, pack, identify, and move parts while ensuring standards and specifications are met.

• Maintain equipment and workstations in good condition.

• Perform routine maintenance on equipment (oil levels, filter status).

• Work as part of a team and demonstrate a high degree of autonomy.

What you need to succeed

• Hold a DEP in machining techniques with an ASP in machining on CNC machine tools.

• Ability to work well in a team.

• Initiative and leadership.

• Manual dexterity.

• Analytical mind.

• This position takes place in a French-speaking work environment; however, it requires basic knowledge of English to understand certain specialized work instructions, drawings, and technical terms that may originate from international organizations.

Assets

• Experience in the machining field.

• Experience in cutting tool sharpening (an asset).
