Summary
Reporting to the Stores Manager for all processes and procedures and to the Production Manager in Montreal for administrative and workload requirements, the stores person is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory by ensuring that all material issued is charged.
Responsibilities
- Receive and sort incoming parts, supplies and materials.
- Store parts in inventory using an alphanumeric sequence.
- Ensure parts and materials are stored by lot number and identify lot numbers on bulk materials (sheet, cans, etc.).
- Maintain and track tool crib check-ins and check-outs.
- Maintain parts locations in the inventory computer system.
- Issue parts using first-in, first-out principles or according to transaction requirements.
- Perform cycle counts or full inventories as requested; review and process weekly/monthly reports according to the corresponding procedures.
- Process incoming requests and issue or distribute parts and supplies for internal use, ensuring JD Edwards system procedures are followed precisely.
- Store parts ordered for specific work orders by work order number in a designated area.
- Keep the stores area organized and clean.
- Perform shipping and receiving or other duties (dispatcher, driver, etc.) as required.
- May use a forklift, dolly or other equipment to load or unload goods for transport.
Requirements
- 2 years of relevant experience.
- Valid driver's license.
- Available to work full time on site.
