Safran Systèmes d'Atterrissage is a subsidiary of Safran Landing Systems, the world leader in landing gear and braking systems for aircraft. The Mirabel plant is dedicated to the manufacture of major landing gear components for the Airbus A320, A330 and A350, and Boeing 787 models. It features state-of-the-art equipment for machining, polishing and special processes, including heat treatment, shot peening and surface treatments.
The manager is responsible for all operations in a value chain to ensure its performance in terms of delivery, production, efficiency, quality and health, safety and environment (HSE). Supervises method agents and manufacturing employees in the finishing department (sanding, plating, painting and finishing honing).
Main tasks and responsibilities:
• Delegates tasks and decisions to the team according to their abilities, to encourage their commitment to team objectives and autonomy
• Guides and helps the team to solve problems and make decisions simply and effectively
• Puts everything in place to ensure the execution of the production plan to meet deliveries
• Identifies and anticipates problematic situations and obtains help from a resource person to solve the problem (maintenance, quality, HR, etc.)
• Facilitates necessary changes to adapt to new realities
Production:
o With the Planning team, monitor the production plan and adjust as needed to ensure objectives are met.
o Ensure the availability and optimization of resources to promote workforce efficiency
o Manages workforce movements by ensuring optimal versatility of manufacturing employees in their sector
Human Resources:
o Ensures compliance with company rules, procedures and policies, including the collective agreement
o Ensures the development of team members' skills according to current processes and policies
Health Safety Environment:
o With the HSE teams, ensure awareness and compliance with HSE rules and policies in their sector
o Participates in accident / event investigations
o Ensures the completion of Inspections, Analyses and Associated Action Plan (e.g. 5S, IGP, Ergonomics, OHS, etc.)
Quality:
o With the quality teams, ensure operator awareness of quality (internal and external)
o Ensure the dynamics and performance of operational problem resolutions RPO / 8D
o Ensure the achievement of objectives and quality performance for their sector (e.g. NC, Reworks, Scrap, Complaints, etc.)

Requirements:
• Relevant university degree or experience
• Approximately 10 years of relevant experience in a similar position
• Unionized manufacturing environment
